Chris Cabaniss
Vice President of Commercial Operations & Senior Title Counsel
Chris grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia then relocated to Raleigh after high school and graduated from NC State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Criminal Justice in May, 1997. He then attended law school and earned his Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law in May, 2001.
While attending NC State, he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, participated in intramural athletics and also served as a Student Senator for the NC State University Student Government Association.
During his time at Regent University School of Law, he was a member of the Client Counseling and Dispute Resolution Board, and served as Secretary for the 2000-01 school year. He also served as Student Representative for Westlaw during this time. Chris was also a member of American Bar Association/Law Student Division.
Prior to joining Tryon Title, Chris was in private practice for almost 16 years and was co-founder of Western Wake Law Group in Cary, NC, where he focused on Residential and Commercial Real Estate, Estate Planning and Corporate law.
He is a member of the Wake County Real Property Lawyers Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, the Wake County Bar Association and the Tenth Judicial District Bar Association. He has also been a past member of the Cary Chamber of Commerce and the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce.
On a personal note, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, coaching baseball, playing golf, attending NC State athletic events, being involved with his church, and reading.
